brainstorm and summary
Video 1 brainstorm:
The film opening had great transition and a clear plot
Although you could clearly see that all the shots he made was just thrown top corner and not actually kicked there
He was good at soccer but the opening could have improved if he actually made the shots
Good choice of music
Video 2 brainstorm:
Liked how it transitioned from all the time the girl was on her phone to her being captured
The opening had a massage
Builds suspense right away
Video 3 Brainstorm:
Didn’t like that opening
Pretty boring
Video 4 brainstorm:
Upbeat music
Didn’t really know what genre they were doing at first
Would actually watch the movie if it was real
Liked the ending builds suspense
Video 5 Brainstorm:
Feels like a tmz stalker film
Weird plot because the main bad guy is telling the therapist all he did and the therapist is just sitting there
Had good transitions
Captured the insanity of the villain/main character
Unique point of view

Video 8 brainstorm:
Nice eerie feeling right off the bat
Feels like a tmz movie

Video 9 brainstorm:
Didn’t get the plot of this opening
Didn't get the genre either
But great pan shot
Video 10 brainstorm:

Like the transition from one person to another
Didn't get the plot or what genre they were doing
Summary:
While watching all 10 film openings i've learned that if you are going to do a lot of transitions you have to use good transitions and not use random transitions that make no sense. You have to have the right choice of music in your opening also that matches your genre you can’t have upbeat music if it's a sad romantic genre. Since my group and I are doing horror we should have suspenseful music or eerie music. I also learned that you have to have good editing and good sound effects at the right moments that could really make your opening the best it could be, especially when you are trying to build suspense like in a horror genre. Also one final thing I learn is try to be unique with the film openings.
