Examples of editing in movies

Symbolism: In the movie X-Men The Last Stand Ice-boy and Pyro were fighting. Throughout the whole movie they fight each other and pyro always would win because pyro had fire powers and ice-man has ice powers and fire always beats ice. Even at the last fight fire was beating ice until ice found the strength to finally beat fire, against all the odds. This symbolizes that no matter what anyone can do anything even if its going against all the odds. Parallelism: In the movie American Sniper, there is a shot in the movie where the sniper shoots a boy with an explosion at the same time a car carrying and explosion, exploded. The shots happens at the same time both were explosions and both the person driving the car and the boy were planning to hurt people with their explosion. Contrast: In the movie Blade Runner 2049 the main character is fighting the villain in a location that is flooded and has raging waves. At the end of the movie it shows the same location where there w...

five master shots

Youtube link:  https://youtu.be/Rtx8UQ0GgZ4 Five Master Shot: Contrast:  For the shot for contrast its a fake and real palm tree. Once we zoomed in the fake palm tree the real one showed up. Shows contrast between the real and fake tree. Parallelism:  For the parallelism shot its two videos with that share similarities. The shot shows a cheerleader doing some cheering and a football player running the ball. It goes back and forth between the two events to show parallelism. Leit Motif:  For leit motif I went up to some random kid on his phone and threw his phone. I was the bully and after sad music played in the background. Simultaneity:  The shot is of me and Arianna walking up and down the stairs. We are doing actions that are similar but with I was going up the stairs and Arianna was going down the stairs. Symbolism:  For symbolism its a video of Antwon standing under the Haitian flag. We tilted the camera down from the flag to Antwon...

I chose the movie "Dark Phoenix" produced by  ‎ Simon Kinberg ‎,  Hutch Parker, and Lauren Shuler Donner I chose to do this movie because I like to watch superhero movies and especially the X-Men franchise in particular. I like this movie even though it was a bust and was not very good and was a complete waste of my money its now on Netflix and has the camera angles i can use for this project, So now am going to have to sit and watch 2 hours of this horrible movie so i hope i get a A. This point of view shot is from the main character jean and realized the horror that has happen to her as she is responsible for killing both her parents when she uses her powers for the first time without realizing it. She accidentally caused her mom to fall asleep veered on to oncoming traffic causing the car they are in to flip over. while both her parents died she self consciously protected herself using her powers without realizing it. The very next shot is of jean slowly wak...

Arianna's dolly shot shows that she was walking down the hallway, like it was supposed to look,  I like that she used the water fountain as a focal point for the shot, because it looked like she was about to drink some water, or walked down the hall,  I like how Arianna used the Trojan statue to do the close up with it shows school spirit and creativity,  I like the fact that Arianna used the tile that had the monsters on it, it was a very scary shot.  The pan shot was good because josh really tried to make it as good as possible, it shows he cares.  I liked josh's dolly shot because he kept his phone as steady as he could so the shot could come out as good as possible. I liked the extreme close up because i felt like i could see into josh's soul. i liked josh's close up shot because he actually was reaching from something his pencil.
